Terms of use

The service

REFLEX is an independent, Canadian-owned app operated from Toronto, Canada. It analyses videos of your lifting sets and gives technique feedback based on measurements from the video. It is offered as is, may change, and may be unavailable at times.

What REFLEX is not

• It gives no medical, injury, pain, health or safety advice. Measurements and coaching notes are about technique only and can be wrong: the camera angle, lighting and clothing all affect them.
• It is not a substitute for a qualified coach or a medical professional. Training carries risk, and you are responsible for how you train, how much you lift, and whether to follow any suggestion.
• It is not a guarantee of progress or results.

Your account

• You must be 16 or older and sign in with your own Google or Apple account.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your phone secure.
• We may suspend or close accounts used to abuse the service, to upload content that is not lifting footage, or to break the law.

Your content

• Your videos, images, measurements and notes remain yours. You give REFLEX permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy.
• Only upload footage you have the right to use. If someone else appears in a video, make sure they are fine with it.
• Sharing happens only when you choose it. Once you share an image or a clip outside the app, it is out of our hands.

Fair use

The service has limits on upload size, clip length and the number of coaching questions per day so it stays fast and affordable for everyone. Do not try to get around them, to reverse engineer the service, or to use it to build a competing product.

Paid features

REFLEX is free today. If paid plans are introduced, the price and what it includes will be shown before you pay, and these terms will be updated.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, REFLEX and its operator are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your training or from relying on the app's measurements or notes. Nothing here limits rights that the law gives you and does not let you waive.

Ending

You can stop using REFLEX at any time and delete your account from the You tab. We may end the service with reasonable notice in the app.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes and the app shows a notice.
